Erik introduced me to this artist, Hung Liu, of whom I love. I love the style of her paintings, how the paint drips down the painting. I hope to try something like this soon but of course I'm working on one now that is further from the painting style of Liu. Now I'm finding it harder and harder to complete the one I've started. I am thinking I will have to put that one on hold and try something new.
Erik brought home a camera for me to play with the other day. Well obviously, what good is a camera without something to shoot? So he became my model and we had a small "photo shoot". Erik was really very good and came up with plenty of poses. He had me laughing the whole time. Below are just a few of the shots.
Here are a few of my favorite photos I've taken over the years. I definitely don't consider myself a photographer. Its more of a hobby. Usually if I come out with a good photo, its all due to luck! Its fun though and a nice change from painting. Painting, for me atleast, takes so much concentration whereas photography is much more relaxing.
Hello...so this is my first post. I wanted to start this blog as a way for me to keep up with all my photo projects. I've discovered Facebook was becoming more of an archive for my pictures and paintings than keeping up with other people!
Anyway, today I took some pictures of downtown Knoxville to help Erik with a website. After being questioned by a police officer of my intentions (he apparently thought I was up to no good), I got a few shots that he may be able to use. It was cloudy today so I'm thinking he's going to want more from another day.
Here is a favorite photo from today. I happened to sit down and discover this little fellow staring at me.
